NRA Personal Protection Firearm Safety Class
(CCW)
NRA Personal Protection: firearms functions and nomenclature, safe handling and storage of firearms, shooting fundamentals, firing procedures, sight picture, accuracy, Michigan firearms laws, legal issues (civil & criminal liabilities), protection of life, avoiding criminal attack, 100 rounds on the firing range (pass/fail) and written test.
NRA First Steps firearm course: Hands-on orientation to pistols, firearm parts, safety instruction, responsibilities, handling, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, selection, storing and cleaning.
The "Personal Protection In The Home" course complies with the provisions of the 1927 PA 372 as amended by 2000 PA 381, Sec. 5(j) and Sec. 5(j) of PA 719 of 2002.

This is a 2 day course with approximately 12 hours of classroom instruction on day #1 and -at least- 3 hours of range time, including live fire, on day #2.
The firearm use use for this class should be a firearm you intend to use for personal protection.

CCW Refresher Course
Section 5l., Paragraph (3), of Act 719 (Public Acts of 2002), Effective July 1, 2003 reads as follows: The educational requirements under section
5b ( 7 ) ( c ) for an applicant who is applying for a renewal of a license under this act are waived except that the applicant shall certify that he or she has completed at least 3 hours' review of the training described under section
5b ( 7 ) ( c ) and has had at least 1 hour of firing range time in the 6 months immediately preceding the subsequent application.
All of the criteria mentioned above will be covered during the refresher course and an attractive certificate will be awarded upon successful completion. Why go to the county unprepared? Why give them reason to doubt you've met the required "Review" and "Range Time?" Be prepared, have your certificate of review ready to show them so there is no doubt your serious about your right to keep and bear arms as a law abiding Michigan citizen.

These are three day courses that will train you to become an NRA Certified Instructor in the following disciplines:

and Sunday at 7:00am.
Cost is $350.00 for the entire course.
